Probably, many do. I suppose not all.
They forget the kingdom, that Christianity talked about,claimed to not be of the earth.
In reality they care little about being moral and more about being in control.
They want power to do as they wish and a theocracy would give that to them.
The other party wants control too, they just go about it different...
It isn't a Nation for the people any longer... it's pick a side and don't question your side nor hold them accountable , but excuse and defend that party no matter what they do.

@Justmeraeagain 'The other party wants control too' ...... well yes of course , but at least they go about it by democratic means. And they're not in the business of taking away people's rights.
