Well given the amount of pepole and businesses that are migrating TO places like Florida and FROM places like New York and California.........

@DavidT8899 It's a retirement destination and older people tend to be conservative and often scared of progress. Imagine how comforting and supportive an authoritarian red state is where everything that feels "icky" is simply outlawed? I've no doubt you'll consider it a paradise, too.

We have the laxest tax codes, regulation and oversight in perhaps the entire country, so yes, businesses love us. Especially those multitudes - locust-level numbers - coming down, buying cheap land and turning a profit off of storage facilities and carwashes. We used to rank high in personal injury attorneys; look for that to change and every block contains a car wash, smoke shop or storage facility.

Slums are teeming with people - it's a not a quality of life thing.
