And this is why Florida is doomed

Covid surges. Misappropriated funds. Overdevelopment. Inflation. Gerrymandering. The erosion of literally every freedom but the right to bear arms. Growing hate crime violence. We are banning textbooks and restricting certain lifestyles from being exhibited, all under the threat that no help is coming from the state.

And this is what Democratic frontrunner Charlie "Muppet" Crist is doing:

Rep. Charlie Crist, who is leading in the Democratic gubernatorial primary, and state Sen. Annette Taddeo, a front-runner in the Democratic primary for a key South Florida House seat, pleaded with President Biden to renew and redesignate Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuelans.

Now, I understand the Venezuelan population has been greatly put upon over the last few years. I understand international turmoil. I also understand priorities and pandering for votes doesn't make it to the top. once again, we are left without clear vision, without clear perception and without the ability to read a room.

If DeSantis doesn't keep his seat, it'll only be because he's out campaigning for a higher office.

So you get why I believe BOTH sides of US politics have been bought? The Democrats (the Party Establishment) are programming themselves to lose power as soon as humanly possible, without creating a third party revolution. Unfortunately, the Republicans seem equally intent on losing, courtesy of Trump and the Supreme court. I dont see how either side can form an actual government..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Oh, I've lost the plot on this whole thing. The party of small government is inserting big government into every single American household. The party of action and social justice is sitting on the sidelines while all of this is happening.

It's as if neither side wants to be victorious, as if the struggle has become the point and not the solutions. And history shows us that it may get much, much worse before it gets better, and not over there the course of an administration but over the course of generations. Human beings, it's been my experience, a very poor at understanding the concept of "if now, then."

@Graylight As I have made clear, I am pessamistic about Americas future, what with one thing and another. Although its not the only nation heading for a rough time. So taking the long view, I dont think I would want to be running a country packed with entitled, self important gun owners right now. Take a look at Sri Lanka, or Japan. It doesnt take a lot for those ideas to spread, once they get onto You Tube and Facebook.😷

I’m so sorry, as you know I love NE Florida, and I’m terrified for friends there. In SC we also have a spineless Democratic Party that allows the GOP to alter vote counts and do other illegal things on a daily basis. No help from theNational structure since we are seen as a hopeless case.
Poor and desperate people are better for this kind of business based society. Whatever! Murka ain't ready for democracy. You werk too hard. Yer too busy and sick.
