Tidal energy has been the pipe dream of climate folks for a long time. I am not saying it has no useful potential, but the "promise" of tidal energy has been a fools errand so far.

@southbeachguy Like wind, Tidal energy was used before the industrial revolution along the northeast coast. Tidal Energy it's about 20 - 30 years behind wind energy. It's like the chicken and egg. We don't know how low the cost would be if it was developed at scale. Time will tell. It is much more predictable than wind. Windmills can't lower the amount of Base load needed to cover the variability. Tidal Energy is predictable centuries in advance so it can reduce the base load that's needed.
