Tidal power generation is not THE solution. But it will be part of a decentralised loacal supply solution.. The new storage battery solutions can be attcahed to all not fossil generation to make it all work.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman Wind, sun and tide can also be used to produce green hydrogen. Which is much more practical than heavy batteries for powering buses, trucks, trains and ships.

@GrinNude Absolutely . And Hydrogen fuel cells will power anything with wheels. The problem of course is the old industries fighting to hold back progress for profit until its almost too late..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman that's why it's so important to free Congress from the stranglehold of the fossil fuel industry.

@GrinNude For America, I agree. But America is only one country. And the worlds legacy from the Trump years is that the rest of the world can go its own way and leave America behind if it doesnt want to keep up. Start doing the numbers of how much Americans blue chip companies are generating their profits elsewhere now. 3M, Du Pont, Monsanto. A lot can shut down their US operations and get along quite well..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman US companies have always focused on exploiting foreign markers. But now, foreign powers have been investing in US industry/tech.

Monsanto got bought out by Bayer.

@Northwest Thats a controlling interest of course. But what used to be US global powerhouses are diluted to "global" corporations. They dont have to call America home. A lot of the "coalface" jobs arent in America any more..America used to be described as having "Industrial might" and in some places thats still true. But if the trend continies it will be left with "Administrative might."😷
