How close is USA to civil war?

Serious questions:
Is the US coming close to civil war ?
Canadians; should our government already have a contingency plan and what should that look like ?

@SW-User and who is selling guns to school kids? What is wrong with a kid knowing how and when to use a gun. I got my first rifle when I was ten. Teach proper gun training, stop abortion and put value on human life.

@Baremine "Value on human life..." Errrr, fine. Why do children -or indeed anyone - need guns designed to end lives, then? Are you in an interminable circle of fear?

I don't think your country will descend into civil war, but the more you all talk up the problem the greater the risk of deeply un-"civil" unrest, violence and death by bullet.
