How close is USA to civil war?

Is the US coming close to civil war ?
Canadians; should our government already have a contingency plan and what should that look like ?

I think, in a way, the civil war never ended. It was just turned down to a slow simmer. And then Trump turned up the heat and caused it to boil over once. That's why action needs to be taken relevant January 6th. To save and preserve our democracy. Just saying. Birdie
