I suspect every much as effectively as......let's say, the current offering in the Oval Office.
What an unmitigated disaster. And, while it doesn't need to be said obviously, but not only this sitting President, but his perpetual, non-present Veep.

You get what you vote for. Sew the wind, reap your whirlwind bud.
@Freeranger Oh, so we shouldn't go ahead and prosecute the insurrectionist?

I didn't see anywhere in your diatribe where, Pelosi, having been briefed on a possible groundswell denied further use of additional police protection OR mobilization of troops. Pelosi WANTED this to happen. She had the security brief, and used it to her end.
No surprises here.

By comparison, you should see the coverup of her husband's OUI and what is being surpressed.....hah, Fekkin' classic.

Just please don't get all self-righteous about the have's and have-nots. "Nan" is the master, of using assets to her own end bud. It's no secret.

@Freeranger So it’s Pelosi’s fault that all those conservatives rioted in the Capitol. From the party that used to preach personal responsibility, now when they do something wrong, they blame their behavior on the democrats.

@jofun925 I never said I was okay with this riot. "THE" responsibility for preparedness and response DOES lie squarely at the feet of Pelosi----so yes. She wanted it to happen, anything to injure Trump, and that is no secret. She denied the request for assistance because she was hoping for the whole thing to happen. SO picture in that instance, if she had done would any responsible leader as part of their position, would have done and released that necessary backup. We would not have had that outcome and she knew it.
So, in effect, she turned her back on Capitol Police, even with their request for assistance, thereby creating the event that she was surely was hoping to use later on.
Only a fool would deny it.

@Freeranger more of conservatives trying to excuse their behavior. Yes, there could have been more security, but that is brought up just to distract. The problem is the disgusting behavior of the Trump base seeking to trash our Capitol. All in the service of one man’s ego. Besides which, any responsible leader would not have encouraged his followers to riot in the first place. Any responsible leader would have been shocked by this behavior and worked to stop the violence instead of sitting back and watching it on tv, only calling it off after several hours.

@jofun925 I know Nan was sitting back and enjoying it....which was part of the plan. And again, had she done was clearly part of her job description, it would have been a different outcome, and we all know it.
There is no excuse for what happened at the Capitol, and those who committed acts of violence and destruction deserve their sentencing. And then, there were every day people who got caught up in the emotion of what happened, and they have regret.
None of that occurs IF Pelosi had done her job, honored the request of the Capitol Police, and brought in National Guard. She was warned in advance and knew what was about to happen. She wanted this to happen, and it sure worked to her end.
Talk about denial.
@Freeranger I guess I must be a fucking fool, because all I see is Donald Trump organizing an insurrection.

@Freeranger “None of that occurs IF Pelosi had done her job”. Wrong. None of that occurs if Donald Trump didn’t incite violence, and then did nothing to stop it. That’s idiotic to blame Pelosi for something Trump did.

@LordShadowfire You explained it perfectly!
