The Supreme Court can't be stopped

U.S. Supreme Court takes aim at separation of church and state

The conservative-majority U.S. Supreme Court has chipped away at the wall separating church and state in a series of new rulings, eroding American legal traditions intended to prevent government officials from promoting any particular faith.

In three decisions in the past eight weeks, the court has ruled against government officials whose policies and actions were taken to avoid violating the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment prohibition on governmental endorsement of religion - known as the "establishment clause."

They also delivered a decision on Friday that was hailed by religious conservatives - overturning the 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling that legalized abortion nationwide - though that case did not involve the establishment clause.

Don't lose focus - it's not any particular group they're going after, it's everyone.

If a fetus is not a human, is it an animal?

Liberals lack of morals and family values is astonishing.

@checkoutanytime So, as of right now in a number of states if a woman is found to have a pregnancy that has settled in her fallopian tube the only way to treat this condition is to abort the pregnancy as when the tube ruptures the mother will bleed out and die. And there is no possible way to transplant the fetus as it will not survive. Thus, in this case where is the moral compass now?

@checkoutanytime So what is your point of early stage? The point is the end result. What about when an ultrasound determines during the first or second trimester or even third that the fetus is dead or their is brain development is ceased, or it has a condition so severe that it will likely be born still or will die hours after birth and likely suffer ?

@checkoutanytime Pretty judgemental on your part, as the number of late term abortions per year totals approximately 10 on average and are only done for medical purposes for the fetus.

@checkoutanytime Good grief so you drink the kool aid and believe it. I do hope you have a nice day and next time are unwell and visit your physician that you accept his or her use of the latest science to heal you

@checkoutanytime Are you in the 4th grade?
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@Graylight your lack of whit is predictable
room101 · 51-55, M
@Graylight Going by the unmitigated drivel he routinely posts on this site, I very much doubt that he even attended 4th grade🤦‍♂️

@room101 wish I hadnt. School was the worst 9 years of my childhood. Everything they taught us, leftists crap on as un-American.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@checkoutanytime It shows. No one think less of education than those who refuse to take advantage of it.
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@Graylight i was honors and high honors every year darling. I was aware if i chose to pursue school id have to give up my freedom. I chose wisely. I love my life, i made for myself. What shows is the leftists hate independence.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@checkoutanytime Sophomore HS honors. It's great, but you still have a sophomore school education.

Education has absolutely nothing to do with freedom. It's very discipline is designed to teach critical thought and dissention. It's idiotic to tie education - which ensure higher lifetime earnings, better quality of life, more opportunities - to any concept of limitation of freedom.

@Graylight who cares about money, to the point they force themselves into a life they dispise? I also scored in the 90% of seniors when i got my GED, with only a sophomore education. To me the more educated one claims they are, the fewer opportunities they truly have.

*that is why I strongly believe everything about the liberal revolution is on its face backwards.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@checkoutanytime You truly have no concept of what education actually is. Ironic.
checkoutanytime · 46-50, M
@Graylight specialized knowledge, its not intelligence by any imagination of the definition

If it's so important, why is Joe forgiving students loan debt to people that can't use their "education" to pay it off?

Have a nice evening. 👍

@checkoutanytime All knowledge is knowledge and leads to increased information. It's asinine to say otherwise.

What I'm referring to is that learning is more than knowing which box to check or memorizing dates. It's learning how to educate yourself, because there are methods that guard against misinformation and faulty conclusions. There are practices to test theories, debate, examine. It's developing an appreciation for all areas of life and understanding the interplay between them. And yes, it's specialized education and training; that's how we get doctors, attorneys, etc. Further, education isn't a class issue; knowledge is free to the world, our little corner of it more so than anywhere else. To dismiss it for personal hunches indicates an ignorance that belies any hope of expanding one's horizons.

In a general sense, "You don't know what you don't know." Without ever searching for what's over the next hill, you end up living in a hole. And let me be clear - for all the wrasslin' you and I do, I respect your education and can easily intuit your natural intelligence. I'm only suggesting that it should be used as a base on which to grow, not the antenna from the top of the building.

@Graylight hence my conservative perspective vs your liberal perspective. In my review of History the greatest thinkers were self taught, or aprenticed. Which agrees with you to the point of teaching ones self how to expand. I dont find people that present themselves as superior bc they are educated to be rational thinkers or open minded, is my perspective. Yes, i do respect you and everyones opinion, i do play around bc i like to stick up for people that people may inovertanly be insulting by their narrow perspective.

@checkoutanytime You were an honours student but can't spell wit. Do you even know what wit means?
