*Pence, then a Governor of Indiana, was elected Vice-President in 2016 and, as far as I know, served without scandal or blemish.
*The Trump administration, which was severely hampered by subversion by forces within the government and fake "Russian collusion" allegation promoted by an adversarial media, was a successful one on many fronts -and will frankly look like a golden age compared to the current one. Pence has nothing to apologize for his service IN that administration.
*Trump's major fault was his efforts to overturn the results of a legitimate election and he bears some fault, extent still being debated, for the Jan 6 Capitol riot. Pence was not involved.
*Pence quietly did his duty on certifying the vote of the Electoral College (even with amob nearby). *You've heard this before but that doesn't make it less true: Speaker Pelosi guaranteed that this committee would always be illegitmate by departing from precedent from the founding of the republic in not allowing the minority party to select its members, making it a Star Chamber equivalent. Pence has no reason to apologize for not testifying before this partisan gang.
