When will we get some fairness to these Hearings?

@MistyCee Guess it was a no win situation for them, they voted down the independent investigation i presume because the truth would have come out and i believe they would have stronger legal weapons.

@Jenna76 The "truth" has pretty much been out there, albeit not under oath, the whole time.

This little Select Committee presentation is just a repackaging of it, with a political twist that pretty much both parties accept, for different reasons.

The Dems political game, at this point, is to reverse enough infatuation with Trumpism to hope for justice and not put him in office in 2024, and maybe reduce the midterm losses.


For Republicans, this is pretty much a win all the way around. They can let the Dems try and cut Trump off at the knees without participating and alienating Trump voters, and promise revenge on Democrats after midterms without actually committing to that course if the polls dont look good to pursue it.


Trump no doubt hates this, and Nancy, McConnell and even McCarthy might get tired of it, but they set this up because they can live with it better than any alternatives.

@MistyCee I understand that its all or mostly been out there but its hard to follow on a daily basis and people have lives and its common to miss things when they come out. I like the fact that this is now a timeline with the testimony/texts/videos in a relatively short period of time coming directly from the people who were there or involved.
I'm not really comfortable having news commentators telling me what happened since everyone has if not their own agenda then their own perspective.

@MistyCee yes and its refreshing to see many of the people at the time were being honest, up front and trying to do the right thing.
