How is this pitch going to work with people who don't mind lying and and believe it's ok if it benefits them?

I agree, but none of this is new, and let's face it, how many Trump voters really thought he was telling the truth about crowd size, his voice on the pussy grabbing tape, his motives for extorting Zelinsky, or even the stolen election?

They like lies, when they think they can benefit from them, and they, like Trump, don't usually even deny them and instead resort to whatabouts and moral relativism.

I agree that we need to keep calling this stuff out, but we also need to keep in mind that Trump supporters and even the undecided voters have mostly already prioritized things like honesty and other human beings.

It seems like we need a new message, imo, besides us vs them.

On one level, this is about the GOP’s war on democracy and its refusal to accept defeat and support the peaceful transfer of power. But more fundamentally, it is about these Republicans’ willingness to lie — or be taken in by lies — if it suits their career ambitions. Democrats should mince no words: Such people should not hold public office.

Perhaps libs call inconvenient truth lies as part of their cover up. Not to beat a dead horse, but how can anyone trust or believe the party that impeached a president without any factual evidence because they wanted power. The Russian collusion scam ruined lives, violated rights , weakened our government ,and perpetuated a lie for years .

And as always , you have no proof . Just lib claims that have been repeatedly shown to be made up exaggerations ( aka lies) .
@TexChik Well, obviously you don't find the pitch appealing, and the dead horse analogy seems like a good one
TexChik · F
@MistyCee but the dead horse is nothing but the truth . Something the left tries to avoid .
@TexChik I pretty much agree with you on that one. To go back to the quote, it seems like a lot of people have already decided that these people are the kind of people they want in power, and I don't really think the "peaceful transfer" thing makes much of a difference as compared to what went on with two impeachments, etc.

@MistyCee nope . If the law ever gets enforced equally, libs will settle down . But at the moment there is no justice in this country.
@TexChik

.mIf the law ever gets enforced equally, libs will settle down

You lost me here.

@MistyCee
As an example. ( That’s Pelosi’s hubby). Pelosi bought a lot of stock in Tesla the day before Biden ordered the govt to convert to electric cars . She was blatant with her insider trading because the laws are not enforced. The border is another example . Don’t play coy
@TexChik Sorry. I thought you might have been saying something more related to the OP.

I'm still not quite getting it, though. You think, if the two tiered justice system was more equal and folks like Pelosi's husband got harsher treatment, or Pelosi gets nailed for conflicts of interest,"libs will settle down"?
TexChik · F
@MistyCee like any criminal, if they know that getting caught also means a perp walk and jail time, they are not as likely to break the law. Now libs offend and don’t get charged. San Francisco just got tired of that and recalled their very liberal DA
@TexChik ok. I think I got it now.
