How is this pitch going to work with people who don't mind lying and and believe it's ok if it benefits them?

I agree, but none of this is new, and let's face it, how many Trump voters really thought he was telling the truth about crowd size, his voice on the pussy grabbing tape, his motives for extorting Zelinsky, or even the stolen election?

They like lies, when they think they can benefit from them, and they, like Trump, don't usually even deny them and instead resort to whatabouts and moral relativism.

I agree that we need to keep calling this stuff out, but we also need to keep in mind that Trump supporters and even the undecided voters have mostly already prioritized things like honesty and other human beings.

It seems like we need a new message, imo, besides us vs them.

On one level, this is about the GOP’s war on democracy and its refusal to accept defeat and support the peaceful transfer of power. But more fundamentally, it is about these Republicans’ willingness to lie — or be taken in by lies — if it suits their career ambitions. Democrats should mince no words: Such people should not hold public office.

how bout we all on both sides work for the good of the country. trump needs to pay for this. however i dont see it happen. past presidents get pardon and are free to go.. on both sides.
he will not be able to run for office that i am sure of. and i believe he will stay free to be what he is.
@markansas I'd love to see us moving forward "for the good of the country," but Trump and his "trust me, I'm what's good for the country" is still out there, and I honestly don't believe he wont be able to run for office at this point.

Millions of Americans like the way he lies and promises that his lies will benefit them and screw the other, and many more are pissed off in general at the economy and would rather "protest vote" against anyone who doesn't sling lies and immorality like Trump does.
