Class and identity politics are reasons democrats lost this election.
Some dems spent more time worrying about illegal aliens than US citizens as well

Class and identity politics
The Republicans are awesome at identity politics. Blame (half-invented) welfare queens and give tax breaks for billionaires. What's not to love?
FreeSpirit1 · F
@Karlbodge: I haven't heard the term welfare queen in ages.
Karlbodge · 26-30, M
@ImAFreeSpirit: Because its now easier to blame Muslims and Mexicans. Identity politics is divide and conquer.
If it was about class politics then why would we vote for a billionaire lobbyist who is in favor of tax-breaks?

@Karlbodge: the old liberal standby... tax breaks for the rich ... trickle down economics ... blah blah blah ... that's why libs lost ... same old BS

@ImAFreeSpirit No. The reason the democrats lost this election is because society switches extremes. After a democrat has been in office, society naturally leans towards a republican. It almost always goes R, D, R, D, R, D.
Counting that and also the primary issue: Hillary was representative of the "system". She was representative of "sameness". She was essentially Obama 2.0, except way more corrupt.
She had no charisma. Fuck. The stupid bitch tried to appeal to black voters by saying she carried hot sauce around with her. She tried to appeal to younger voters by awkwardly talking about Pokemon Go. She was detached, awkward, and semi-emotionless and could not relate to the public.
The reason the democrats lost this election is because the candidate was fucking awful. Americans wanted change. Trump is definitely change. Hillary was not change. She was "same old, same old." + corruption. It would have been a different story if Bernie Sanders would have won the nomination. He was also representative of change. It would have been a harder battle, if nothing else.

@ColdPenguin: or the lib in office ran a corrupt administration , attacked any dissenters , used the media to shield himself from blame and the people had enough

Here is Trump (actually and literally) encouraging his fans to beat up protesters.

@IstillmissEP: I posted what Trump has said in his own words and there is more. You can link a Breitbart conspiracy theory but then you also don't care about what Trump has done.

@satanburger:
What actually undermines it is a criminal justice system that actually fails to sentence the vast majority of rapists and those people who take any opportunity to dismiss the credibility of multiple rape claims because of partisan political bias.

What are the odds then that Trump is innocent of all charges?
🤔
Yeah and that's the sad part because it undermines actual crimes being done to actual victims.
