Well they are cops. Guess they couldn't get a higher skilled job like McDonald's.

Maybe they thought the shooter was a white guy? 🤷♀️
justanothername · 51-55, M
@AbbySvenz Highly likely.

The same thing happened here in Denver during Columbine. I got home from work that afternoon, turned on the TV, and saw something was happening. By then the shooting was over but the cops just stood there doing nothing.
tindrummer · M
too many cops are cowards except when facing the obviously unarmed

I'm sensing sarcasm. Maybe they all knew him from school and just knew what he had gone through; maybe participated? In any case we need better vetting of police officers for prejudice, attention-span, looks like; and school shooter protocol/general preparedness, Maybe critical thinking/acting under pressure. Sometimes you have to do the right thing despite what a ranking officer says.

Cops are useless. Their real purpose is to extort money from motorists.
Changeisgonnacome · 61-69, F
Maybe he's like one of their own, a gun enthusiast.

@Changeisgonnacome Most probable response so far.

Didn't two cops receive grazing wounds trying to get past the barricade? We should consider all the information and admit that we weren't there.
SW-User
@tindrummer I could be wrong, but I think they were shot early on during the first attempt.
tindrummer · M
@SW-User so? their job is to go in harm's way to protect the public
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
@SW-User We should take the children's accounts of what happened as fact.
The 911 calls
The witness accounts and videos.
The police have been lying from the start. When people can't keep their story straight, they are lying.

Sounds about right

Cowardice has been hidden behind the Castle Rock decision. No duty to act or protect unless it’s to protect and serve the shit out of an old lady off her dementia meds.
justanothername · 51-55, M
Apparently despite all their training, 19 cops wasn’t enough to break into the classroom and shoot the guy.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
Perhaps they needed more powerful compensators to do their jobs.
Changeisgonnacome · 61-69, F
Maybe they are pro shooting, anti education.
REMsleep · 41-45, F
I don't understand how several kids called 911 over nearly an hours time and some cops were inside the school's hallway waiting yet the commanding officer claims that he did not think that it was an active shooter situation?
Why wasn't he on the scene himself ASAP?
Who was in charge of relaying the facts to him?
They say that info from the 911 calls possibly wasn't getting to the cops. Why?
Just nonsense

Nor brave enough to try!

As I said earlier, so much for the argument of the good guy with a gun being the defense for a bad guy with a gun, yes ?
19 so-called "good guys with guns". One "bad guy".
And 21 dead innocent people. 😞
