Not defending anyone, but that's a ridiculous statement. Nobody wants mass shootings or for anyone in particular to have guns.
@RedBaron Maybe most people don't want mass shooting, but obviously someone must or they wouldn't happen.

My guess is most people just don't care as much about mass shootings as they do about other things like defending themselves or being ready for the next civil war.

@MistyCee Oh come on. What a ridiculous thing to say. The only people who want mass shootings are the nutjobs commiting them.
@RedBaron Well, that's someone, not nobody. And imo, its too many somebody's since these shootings happen too often.

@MistyCee Listen to yourself. You just said that people other than actual murderers are actually in favor of innocent people, including children, being slaughtered. You must have a screw or two loose yourself to think that.
@RedBaron No, I know I'm being a pain in the neck, but if you look back, you'll see that what I said was that there are murderers who want mass shootings, and that there are many more people who stand to profit more by not doing things that might make it harder for them to commit them.

I'm one myself. Granted I don't get money from gun manufacturers or expect to profit from electing the candidates who protect them, but I am one of those Americans who prioritizes other things and has chosen to send my kids to private schools where I have a little more influence on the security.

My guess is most folks, including you and me don't want bad things to happen, but there are lots of bad things, and we make priorities and vote accordingly.

That's kind of how any consensual government, especially democracies work. There are hard choices to be made, like women's rights to their bodies or the rights of fetuses, or paying taxes to subsidize others.

Some folks, for example, prioritize their own blood or people that look or think like them over others. They might be white supremacists, black racists, communists, or people who like the idea of a melting pot/mongrelization of the human race, globalists, nationalists, or whatever.

But, imo, angelifying them is little better than demonizing them.

Take a neighbor I have, who's pro 2nd Amendment because he thinks he needs guns to protect his family from blacks and foreigners. I disagree with his priorities and his reasoning, and when he says that mass shootings and dead children are the price we pay to live free, it pisses me off, but that's because I disagree with his priorities and how he wants to achieve them.
