Should the ownership of guns be banned or restricted?

Whether either of those should or should not be done is a moot point really. It would take a constitutional amendment to do either which itself is extremely unlikely, and even it were to be done there are still some 400,000,000 guns in civilian hands here. The chances of confiscating those are slim at best.

That said, there’s nothing in the constitution about the right to own ammunition.
