That fat, lazy, cry-baby slob who once pretended to be president with his First Lady daughter discourages "his people" to vote

if his candidates don't win.

Did he really go there again?

I guess it fits the profile, but he's really making a case for the idea that he's in it only for himself.

@MistyCee The crazy thing is even though "the base" and those who worked closest with him know this by his consistent behaviour, they still think he's some kind of worship-worthy idol. It's really unexplainable.
@MarkPaul I'm thinking it's that Bonnie and Clyde thing, or Robin Hood, tbh, mostly, and while it's hard to explain rationally, it's pretty persistent in history.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@MistyCee Yeah, but Bonnie and Clyde and Robin Hood, and even Ted Bundy were not so obvious they were really only interested in their self-interests. This (fake) bone spur is transparent about his self-absorption, it's clear he holds private disdain for his most enthusiastic supporters, and that he would be just as happy to have them suffer if they can take up his grievances on his say-so.

He may be a run-of-the-mill conman, but the cult-like obsession he still enjoys among 30% of the population is still surprising.
@MarkPaul And the more he gets pissed on and derided for his selfishness and dishonesty, the stronger his pull will be for those who admire those traits.

30% sucks, but that's a lot less than the margin in the last election.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@MistyCee Yes, that is the bright side. Even parts of "the base" are breaking away from total programmed control. There is hope.
@MarkPaul Here we go back to the "base.". How much of the base is lemming and how much is more genuinely sociopathic?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@MistyCee 25-30% is lemming. Of that though, there is a 10 - 12% that feels that fat, slimy slob is not extremist enough. They want anti-vaccine messages; they want women back in the kitchen. They genuinely want autocracy that has no resemblance to American ideals. And, that segment is primed to be picked off by anyone who incites them to take up arms.
@MarkPaul Hmm. I think you're underselling the numbers of folks who want to see either real or economic bloodshed a bit, tbh, and I'd put a lot of them, as well as the lemmings into the autocracy crowd, because, why do folks
"genuinely" want an autocracy or why do they want women barefoot and pregnant, or at least with fewer options then to let their pussy get grabbed?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@MistyCee There MAY be more, but most are too fat and lazy and not willing to put any effort into their desires, so the 10% are the ones who would actually do something.
