@ViciDraco So many people confuse health insurance with healthcare. But in any case a hardworking American with a JOB can get health INSURANCE through their employer. So that they may obtain HEALTHCARE. I should not be forced to subsidize through my taxes lazy people who don’t want to get off their arse and work

@ShadowWolf having health insurance does not mean health care is affordable. Not all jobs provide healthcare as a benefit.

Good to know you judge the value of a person's life by whether they perform what is more than likely a bullshit job though.

@ViciDraco Then take it up with Big Pharma (your beloved vax producers), and the medical indutry that overprices everything. Not the taxpayer!

There is no free ride here in the US. Anyone who wants something here needs to work for it. I should not have to break my back so people can sit on their arse and collect. If you want that, please leave and go somewhere else like Europe where they already have it. Do not ruin the USA which is the last bastion of individual freedom and limited taxation.

@ShadowWolf sorry, but not sorry that I love my country and want the best for the people in it. Why let Europe surpass us on every meaningful measure?

I don't know what you mean by personal freedom, but the Republicans are showing themselves very much against individual liberty and self determination.

As for limited taxation, this nation did amazing under high taxation for the wealthy and strong worker's rights that came out of the new deal. This limited taxation BS has had us on a slow decline for decades.

@ViciDraco You must be a deadbeat mooch on society because they are the only people that prosper off the backs of the hard-working litter text heavily

@Shaveit

I was born with a disease that causes deformity and tumors in some of my bones. My left hand is particularly bad. I can't even make a good fist.

In 2014 I lost my left leg, and half of my pelvis to bone cancer. I get around mostly by wheelchair and sometimes by walker.

If I wanted to be a deadbeat mooch I have more disability than a lot of people that qualify.

What do I do? I work full time and earn a six figure salary. I have good health insurance. I have good benefits all around.

Believe it or not, it is possible to care about people other than yourself. It is possible to believe that investing into society is worthwhile even if some people take advantage of it. I don't need most of what I advocate for.

But sure, I'm probably just a deadbeat mooch.

@ViciDraco I am truly sorry for your issues… However I’m glad people like Stephen Hawkins didn’t share your mentality
ViciDraco · 36-40, M
@Shaveit my mentality of having empathy for other people?

Or did you miss the part where I work and do not actually need the benefits I am advocating others have?
