There has been no anti abortion ruling.
@hippyjoe1955 Not yet, but that's the plan.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BohemianBoo What plan? Roe v Wade was a phony ruling. If it were repealed nothing would change.
@hippyjoe1955 Moving the goalposts. The point is there is a plan for an anti-choice ruling.

@BohemianBoo If you say so. Good luck in finding that conspiracy. So what is so vital about abortion that you are all in a lather about the subject?
@hippyjoe1955 It's not really a vital issue for me. I'm more concerned about how this is obviously only the beginning. Republicans want to us to be a typical right-wing dictatorship like Russia.

@BohemianBoo What dictatorship do you think the US had before roe v wade?
@hippyjoe1955 We didn't have a dictatorship, but we had waaaaay less democracy than we have now. At one point, you couldn't vote unless you owned land. Though with how cult-like the GOP has become, it seems like they want us to be a legit dictatorship with no elections, period.
Personally, I'm fine with abortion being a state issue. But the Republicans aren't going to stop there. They want women to be second class citizens, along with anyone who isn't a cishet Protestant.

@BohemianBoo So how does that logic work in your world? There was no dictatorship before a court case but somehow overturning said court case will result in dictatorship?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BohemianBoo So you have no idea of the human condition and are proud to show it. Now that is FUNNY!!!
@hippyjoe1955 I didn't say overturning the court case will result in a dictatorship. I said "I'm more concerned about how this is obviously only the beginning."
Like I said, I'm fine with abortion being a state issue. But given how the Republicans have been attacking Democracy, I think they're not going to stop at making abortion a state issue.

@BohemianBoo Correct, attacking democracy, and defending The Constitutional Republic from the insane edicts of the demonocrat party
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@BohemianBoo And having roe v wade on the books has made the US more free? Seriously? You have no idea that roe v wade is the linchpin to advancing the nazi eugenics program? Believe it or not the US fought the nazis in WWII.
@hippyjoe1955 Of course it made us more free. Aside from giving women control over their own bodies in every state, it kept people out of poverty via unwanted birth. And the less poverty a country has, the more free it's people are.

Trust me, you don't want to discuss Nazism with me, I know infinitely more than you. And FYI, the Nazis were anti-choice, because of course they were.

@BohemianBoo So you have no idea how much it cheapened all human lives and how the abortion industry is to benefit the men and not the women. You really did drink the koolaide.
@hippyjoe1955 I'm sure the abortion industry is run to benefit people making money off a service, just like every industry.
But generally speaking, the ability to have an abortion helps keeps women from falling into poverty. That's why the countries where abortion is widely available have less economic inequality.
