I do not. I also believe there should be a standard form of voting period. EVERY American who wishes to vote should be required to present an I.D. when voting. You have to present it when you fly, get a driver's license and so forth, so taking a moment to produce a valid I.D. when you vote should be a non-factor.
Of course, the more lucid among us understand why certain people are against it.
Hoping it becomes a mandate nationally.

@Freeranger if you made getting an id easy, and everyone born or made a citizen automatically received such, with no hassle, then it might just be a little nuisance, but doable. But, simply defining what a valid Id is is not so easy. As you know there are now "smart" driver's licenses which require several forms of other IDs to obtain one. My wife and i sat on a line for 4 hours to try to obtain one, only to find that the motor vehicle bureau stopped issuing those licenses and we receive bed an old fashioned one which is being phased out as usable IDs for planes. So, if if fraud is really a problem, and IDs would help, make it easier to get such an id.

@samueltyler2 And, there lies the rub. I think it starts with each state, and then broken down by town where, an office exists where any citizen (with proof), can go to that office and obtain a bonafide I.D. card with a photo, some sort of chip or raised seal on it if the do not say, possess a driver's license, or valid proof. Perhaps like census takers, we would need a mobile unit to take that process to the homes of those who cannot get out. But, that said, we have needed this for some time.
I think it's a problem with a very solution. It won't happen over night but it should be instituted.

Again, you display ignorance.
Every state issues a photo ID.
ANY resident can obtain one.
Your comments about "defining what an ID is", is ridiculously ignorant on your part.
It's as if you are a walking, talking duped and manipulated individual, who only knows the bullshit that's fed to him.

@bradhuskers you are factually incorrect! Also, you don't want every "resident" to vote, do you, including undocumented individuals? There are some IDs that are more accepted than others. That depends on the background information needed to obtain that ID.

An ID is a document.
undocumented individuals don't have documents.
undocumented individuals aren't citizens.
only citizens can legally vote

@Budwick look back at my comment and who I was commenting to and about. Your comment is bizarre!
