A question for Americans. Which of these two tax plans sounds better to you?

President Biden wants to raise taxes on the wealthiest 0.01%.
That would bring in nearly a trillion dollars into the federal government to pay for vital programs.

OR

Would you rather go with the GOP plan as authored by Senator Rick Scott?
He wants to reduce taxes on the rich and raise taxes by $4500.00 for those families making $50k.

Which do you prefer?

I'm not in the states, but the second plan is the one that'll get voted in!

I'm not presently in the states. But I'm watching the GOP take the USA down a rabbit hole. Sad.

@Randi1125 from where i sit it's true ... More like an aristocracy then anything else

@ozgirl512 Yes. I just want to hear the reasoning from the people who will vote for Scott's plan. Scott also wants to end Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid in 5 years. Republicans are on board with this.

@Randi1125 fear is always a good motivation... When many people get there news from a ten second bite it's easy to manipulate them

@ozgirl512 Given the tribalism of the American people, you are absolutely correct. GOP will obscure the facts with guns, gays, and god.

@Randi1125 very true ...a land of opposites ... Texan abortion laws to protect the foetus and liberal gun laws to shoot people🙄

@ozgirl512

Ugh. People will vote for the GOP because they are distracted by transphobia, xenophobia, “religious freedom,” mask mandates that expired, etc

@Randi1125 and all brings us one step closer to Gilead ...
