It's just a coincidence. She's picking Congress, because it'a a 2-year term, and we know she can't do more than 2 years, and that's only if she takes a year off to campaign for VP.

@Northwest Correct. There is a separate election to fill the seat in the next Congress.

@LeopoldBloom Both the Special Election to fill Young's seat, and the primary for the General Election, will be held on August 16. Different people could win, but it would be unusual.
