“… and to again help our partner Trump to become President.” — Russian State TV

Notice the word ‘again’?

If there ever was any question whether trump was a Russian asset and a Trojan Horse installed to destroy democracy from within - there sure as hell isn’t any longer.

And faced with everything this implies, still the herd will follow him.

The Republican party has turned into a batshit crazy circus. I'll never forget an interview I saw at a Trump rally where several of his followers literally said they would rather Putin be POTUS than Biden 😳 An evil murderous dictator...

@Randi1125 They should all have to go fight to Russia now.

Of all my friends I've had conversations with within a number of democratic foreign countries, there is not one person I have talked to who isn't grateful that Joe Biden is president of the United States — and not the authoritarian buffoon who preceded him. And then there's MAGA...
@Randi1125 At least this last observation is somewhat redemptive.

If Trump were the current PotUS, he'd be having photo-ops with Putin, walking across charred Ukranian bodies, and giving the Russians tips on how to handle their "horrible" neighbors (split up families, put kids of all ages together for better abuse, etc.).

He'd be blaming NATO for making this happen, castigating the EU, and hunting "Nazis" in the Eastern bits of Ukraine.

And his backers would eat this up and cheer him on.

Remember when Trump allowed the Russian press but barred the U.S. press from the Oval Office? Trump proceeded to yuck it up with Putin's version of Goebbels and Himmler - Sergey Lavrov and Sergey Kislyak. That day left no doubt that Trump was owned by Putin. And not one Republican held him accountable.

@Randi1125 That's reassuring, because he's getting beaten to hell in his own backyard. My God, for as stable and measured as the world might be Biden, they must view Americans as bat-shit crazy. I didn't think any nation wished the bull in the china shop was still in place (well, a strategic few), but I'm hoping wiser people can hear Biden's words rather than the way he utters them.
@Randi1125 That lack of holding him accountable is the very worst, to be sure.
@Graylight When *Reagan* was President, I was in Europe, and was continually asked, "How can a nation as great as America have him as President?"
