Now that it has been proven that Trump is a criminal and one of the 5 worst presidents in US history, why do people still support him?

I am thinking most of his supporters are criminals.

"Us vs. Them" is more important to some than acting in their own best interest. IMO, his continued support is the result of systematic brainwashing that appeals to the fear and need to blame that some have in their life.
