🇺🇸 Thank You, President Biden 🇺🇸

US President Joe Biden announced today (03/08/2022) the U.S. will [b]ban all Russian oil imports[/b], toughening the toll on Russia’s economy in retaliation for its invasion of Ukraine, but he acknowledged it will bring costs to Americans, particularly at the gas pump.
"We will not be part of subsidizing Putin’s war,” Biden declared, calling the new action a “powerful blow” against Russia's ability to fund the ongoing offensive.

I live in Europe, and I would like to express my gratitude. It's great to know we are not alone in this present darkness.

This is a particularly brave move.

I wonder if the Republicans of SW will acknowledge as much and forgive Biden when the prices go up.

They will back up words with actions, reach across partisan lines and avoid the blame game, right?

I'm only kidding. They will slaughter Biden and try to pin this on him to gain political advantage. They will say petrol prices are high because of a green new deal that doesn't exist yet and say Trump would have handled this better by sprinkling libertarian fairy dust and bragging about the size of his button on Twitter.
