That’s because Ukrainians aren’t Muslim. Muslims are considered terrorists that raise terrorists therefore it’s ok to bomb them in their homes while they are sleeping. ☹️🥺

@SW-User it's not so much to do with religion than with race. Bosnian Muslims and Albanian Muslims were helped in the 90s. People from the Middle East, whether Christian or Muslim are ignored. Copts, Armenians and Assyrians are largely ignored.

All I remember was Bosnian Muslims were tortured by the Serbs. Rapes , massacres, shootings, making Bosnian Muslim girls prostitutes. To hell with those bastards. @basilfawlty89

@SW-User I know, but the world recognise it as genocide and the Bosnians were given their own country. The US also bombed Serbia.
Two years ago when Azerbaijan invaded Armenia and Artsakh, shelling maternity wards and decapitating elderly Armenian men and women, the world was quiet.

@basilfawlty89 That's what shocks me. Armenians are white, Christian, and have a huge community in the U.S., and no one here cares what's happening to them.

@Lila15 depends on your definition of white. Armenians aren't European. You could argue they're Caucasian, but the term includes people from the Middle East, Caucasus, North Africa and North India. Armenians genetically are closest to Iranians. Legally in the US they're white, socially they're not treated as white. I know after 9/11 many Armenian friends I have were stereotyped as "Arab Muslim terrorists".

@basilfawlty89 I’m appalled at how people all over the world are getting slaughtered like it’s the Middle Ages. I just don’t know why these massacres are happening. They shouldn’t be allowed to kill one person let alone thousands,

@basilfawlty89 I think it's more because Armenia is isolated and what happens there doesn't have much of an effect anywhere else. Ukraine on the other hand is in Europe and the potential for a wider war, while remote, does exist.
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
@Lila15 in way I'd agree, but if you look at Palestinians, Yemenis, Copts, Assyrians and Yazidis, you kinda start to note a pattern. Granted an exception with this in Europe is Cyprus, because Turkey was allowed to basically colonise Northern Cyprus, but that's because the West relies on Turkish resources and military bases.

@basilfawlty89 Again, all isolated areas having little effect outside their immediate vicinity. Same reason why the war between Tigray and Ethiopia is virtually unknown.
The Israel-Palestine conflict gets more attention because Israel is a close ally of the U.S. and anything concerning Jews is of great interest. If Israel was replaced by an Arab country, nobody would care what happens to the Palestinians.
