@G00GLE sucks a lot more to be a Ukrainian I'd bet. What with Russia killing, wen, and children as it tries to simply erase Ukraine as a nation and take it's territory for its own.

@G00GLE Would have sucked even more if Trump was still US president. At least with Biden who has direct military experience and knowledge there's a good measured approach. Trump with his zionist-like isolationist approach effectively shutting the US off from the rest of the world would have made any global conflict 10x worse. Currently the Ukraine vs Russia business is NOT a global conflict. It's just an extension of the war that started in 2014 between those two sovereign states.

@McGeeisme Not directly though - he's trying to tease NATO into militarily reacting. Putin wants to stop Ukraine becoming part of the NATO alliance which is a quasi-military bloc similar to how the EU is a unified trading bloc.

@zonavar68 he also wants, has stated many times that he wants to being the nations that left the Soviet Union back under Russian control, to recreate the empire. Poland, a NATO state is in danger,Latvia, is in danger, all of the rest of them are in danger. He has made it clear that pretty much any effort, including supplying weapons and humanitarian aid, or using sanctions are to be considered acts of war.
