Russian lawmakers have introduced legislation that would conscript into the military anyone arrested for protesting against Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. These people would be forced to fight in the invasion itself.

I think that this is an intimidation tactic rather than a serious suggestion. By the time the train and arm people it could be too late anyway.

Also, there is no way that you want anti-war people in the army whose moral would be in any ways suspect. They will probably just disappear protest leaders and lock the rest up, as usual.

@Burnley123 I think so too. What it does show though is that they are willing to consider just about anything to continue this madness. Martial law is likely to be introduced any day now and men of conscription age are already being prevented from leaving the country.
