Donald Trump earned Putin's respect. That's pretty important when you're dealing with a nuclear superpower.
@SinlessOnslaught

You think Putin respected Donald
Nah man.
Putin enjoyed Donald licking his boots and appreciated the way he was dividing American people thereby weakening the nation.
Putin did not respected a fat, limp-wristed crybaby. He liked that Trump respected him. When was the last time an American president was so eager for a pat on the head from the Russian president?
He was delighted by the little orange lapdog lol
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@Pikachu Well he didn't invade Ukraine.
TrumpIsFinallyGone · 41-45, M
@SinlessOnslaught From one crazy autocrat to another that would make sense. Although having the respect of someone like Putin is the last thing I'd want.
@SinlessOnslaught

...and?
What does the US have to do with this situation? What does the US president have to do with this situation?
The US is not involved. The US will not get involved. The US certainly wouldn't have got involved under Trump who even now continues to suckle on Putin's penis.
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@TrumpIsFinallyGone And that's why you shouldn't get involved in politics.
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@Pikachu The US would get involved if Trump were president.
@SinlessOnslaught
The US would get involved if Trump were president.
...what makes you think that? Based on Trump's continued sloppy blowjob of Putin's penis, what makes you think the US under his presidency would have got involved?
lol wait, do you mean he would have helped Putin? Yeah, maybe😂

"So Putin is now saying, 'It's independent,' a large section of Ukraine. I said, 'How smart is that?' And he's going to go in and be a peacekeeper. That's the strongest peace force,"
"We could use that on our southern border. That's the strongest peace force I've ever seen. ... Here's a guy who's very savvy. ... I know him very well. Very, very well."
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@Pikachu If you want someone to take your suggestions, like not invading a country, you have to establish mutual respect. That's what Trump was doing.
@SinlessOnslaught

He was literally praising Putin's actions has he massed troupes for an invasion of a democratic nation and you want to spin that as "establishing mutual respect"?

You seem to think boot-licking is the way to get respect.
Has that ever worked for you?

lol wow.
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@Pikachu Well I see you have a tendency to embellish so I don't believe everything you say.
@SinlessOnslaught

You don't have to believe what i say. I quoted Donald's response to Putin massing his forces to invade Ukraine. You can look that up yourself if you don't believe me.

But why don't you take a stab at explaining why the US under Donald would have sent military aide to Ukraine. Why would Donald be willing to risk a nuclear war with Russia?
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@Pikachu I don't trust you to not take it out of context.
@SinlessOnslaught

I can't take it out of context. It will all be here in black and white.
Go ahead. Enlighten me on the superior geopolitical strategy Donald would have employed to come to Ukraine's aid without risking nuclear war.
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@Pikachu Well he wouldn't have to if Putin didn't invade Ukraine.
@SinlessOnslaught

A meaningless tautology.
Tell me, based on your understanding of the history of the soviet union and Russia's messy relationship with Ukraine, what makes you think Donald sitting in the white house would have changed Putin's plan?
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@Pikachu I already told you. By establishing mutual respect and convincing him not to do it in the first place.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@SinlessOnslaught Putin us a murderous, narcissistic, autocrat. Do you seriously think he gives a dam about some muppet like Trump?
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@newjaninev2 The former president of the United States, yes.
@SinlessOnslaught

So you think by complementing him as he did while Russian forces massed for an invasion, Donald would have prevented Putin from continuing the invasion of Ukraine that he started in 2014? He would have just decided to give up securing the valuable resources in east Ukraine? He would have abandoned his apparent mission to rebuild the Russian empire...all because he respected Donald for complimenting him?
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@Pikachu No, more like the guy who usually compliments him suddenly says, "Don't do that or we'll have trouble". It would have more effect. This stuff is called people skills.
@SinlessOnslaught

lol ok. Sure.
Putin would have decided to halt a takeover that had been in the works for almost a decade because the guy who complimented him said he shouldn't.

This is the same Putin that has seized control of the Kremlin for 18 years in defiance of Russian democracy.
The man who regularly has political opponents and unfavorable media assassinated.
The man who is currently shutting down social media in Russia to prevent the honest spread of information.
The man who has had thousands of his own citizens arrested for criticizing him and still more for protesting against this war.
The man who is threatening nuclear war if anyone gets in his way.

You think he probably would have just changed his mind because the guy who usually compliments him said he ought to reconsider?

You really believe that? That doesn't strike you as a little naïve?
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@Pikachu No, I don't think Putin would just say "Oh, okay. Trump told me not to so I won't." He's not a wizard. What I am saying is that the man who got along with all the world leaders would be handling this better than the man who keeps antagonizing them. Again, it's called people skills.

You're misunderstanding me because all you want to do is insult someone for liking a person you don't like.
@SinlessOnslaught
I don't think Putin would just say "Oh, okay. Trump told me not to so I won't."
Well then we agree on something lol.

I'm not sure where you got the impression that Trump has people skills or got along well with world leaders.
The UN literally laughed at him.
Other world leaders were mean-girling him.
The queen forbade him from visiting.
The German chancellor thought he was a joke.
New Zealand, Canada, Italy, Turkey, Rome, Australia, Norway, Argentina, Sweden, the Uk, Holland... and on and on.
The leaders and diplomats of these countries have all commented that Trump is dangerous, stupid and unstable.
So much for people skills.
You're misunderstanding me because all you want to do is insult someone for liking a person you don't like.
I haven't insulted you personally, i've commented the frailty of your arguments.
It's important to be able to tell the difference.
But evidently you're starting to take this personally so i'm going to leave it there.
I don't think there's any quote, incident or historical fact i can share with you that will convince you that Donald is not a good, great hero who would have definitely stopped Putin.

Sorry if i insulted you.
SinlessOnslaught · 26-30, M
@Pikachu Other world leaders got along with him.

Also I understand if you say you're not trying to insult me but I thought your tone sounded mocking.
