Trump Owes It All to McConnell’s ‘Disgraceful Dereliction of Duty’

http://news.yahoo.com/trump-owes-mcconnell-disgraceful-dereliction-012851911.html

One year ago, the U.S. Senate voted to acquit Donald Trump, who just a couple of weeks earlier had been the President of the United States. Three years from now, he could be that again, thanks to the Republicans who knew better but nonetheless let him off the hook.

The vote was 57-43 in favor of convicting Trump for inciting the Capitol riot. This was the citizen militia portion of Trump’s months-long attempted coup, which had begun in earnest when he convinced tens of millions of Americans of the bald-faced lie that a massive, multi-state conspiracy of voter fraud had denied him re-election.

And the previous 4 years of "russia russia russia" and "seven times" was....
@sunsporter1649 not over yet?

I'll send you another link, but I'd say the Trump/Russia collusion narrative is part of a bigger pattern, involving both those trying to ally themselves with Trump and those trying to use him as a useful bogeyman.

The thing is, at least so far, he's in it for himself and hasn't yet appreciably delivered for anyone else, including his voters. That could change, of course, but I'm doubting he'd be a benevolent God Emperor, much less second term President.

@room101 Bannon may have gotten too big for his britches, and his agenda is bigger than Trump's, but I don't think you can look at Trump and noise without acknowledging his insights into how "brilliant" and useful Trump and Trumpism can be to those seeking to profit from it.

Putin, McConnell, Pence, Clinton, Pelosi, MTG, Gaetz, and Biden, among others really have all tried to use Trump's masterful sociopathic narcissism to their own ends when you think about it.
