Why exactly is the majority of "Israel should give back land to the people they stole it from" rhetoric coming from descendants of colonizers?

Indeed. What amuses me is that those same apologists ignore the fact that Israel was stolen by the now-defunct Roman Empire. By that measure, it is rightfully theirs.
