I have been watching this one with some interest as an outsider and reached the following genuine conclusions. A minority of Americans actually look objectively at their President regarding his quality as a leader of the"Free World" (Whatever that means)
This most American Presidents are either popular overseas, because of how they decide things regarding foreign policy. Or popular at home, because of how good they make life for citizens. (Not unreasonable on the face of it)
Now I have deduced the reason for this. The American economy has run at a loss to the world for decades now, the deficit growing larger and larger. Some presidents encourage this, spending up big to make things easier for the people. Cheap fuels, utilities, and food. But now and then along comes a President who insists the nation tries to live within its means and the economy tanks, which makes him VERY unpopular at home.
Now obviously factors like control of the House and Senate and State rulings apply. But it does explain a lot.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman odd fact for ya

@markansas Yes. But on the other hand he set up the cheap loan environment that allowed ninja loans and a real estate boom to stop the nation going into a recession it needed to have after the dot com bubble burst. That set up the first GFC. There is plenty of blame for everyone here.😷
@whowasthatmaskedman AND HAS HEAD WITH MONICA WHILE TALKING TO RUSSIA. if i recall right. what a fucked up world we live in. lets work to make it better where we live and vote for the others .

@markansas Personally I dont care about how Clinton chose to relax. Asa long as he run the country right. The problem is that every administration since Nixon has taken steps to postpone an economic recession, by building the dam higher. And that dam now dwarfs the hoover dam and its creaking like hell and interest rates cant go lower and printing money doesnt work any more and other countries can now see the emperor has no clothes, even if some Americans havent caught on yet.
Yes. A different type of leader is needed. And some countries are likely to get one soon. Meanwhile, back at the ranch in America, they are trying to put off the inevitable by making sure only "The Right people" vote.😷

@MarmeeMarch Yep. So am I. The Fed has pulled every lever they have and they arent working any more. The only redeeming factor right now is that the rest of the world is in pain as well. America had all the Aces in its hand and still cant win from here. The good news is it will be a quiet takover with the sharemarket, Crypto, interest rates and inflation doing a number on the value of the currency. Hardly a shot to be fired. Enjoy the next Christmas.😷

@MarmeeMarch Quite possibly. However, I can draw timeline from Nixon abandoning the Gold Standard to fund the deficit that paid for Vietman spending through each successive administration to the current day as they bounced from one mistake to the next and put off paying for the sins of the Fathers all the way down the line. The funny thing about economics is that while the numbers can be tortured, misread and represented badly, they cant actually lie. If you fail to carry the one someplace it comes back to haunt you. In the case of US economics, they even created fictional money by printing it with no value to back it up. That looks good from inside the country. But in the end other countries catch on and start wanting more $ for the stuff they sent you. Thats what makes the share market😷 so "high" V P/E ratios and safe haven investments like gold and property so high. All of this wouldnt matter too much. If America didnt have around $40 Trillion to pay off its credit card already. This is all going to rebalance itself at Americas expense. It has to. And it goods like fairly soon.
