I think the field of politics itself is evil and that field brings out the evil already present within man. Politics - Poly (many) tics (blood sucking parasites).
I think, epigenetically speaking, the environment surrounding politics effects their genetics and enhances the corruption gene within them so to speak, and in some, creates a psychopathic gene or rather conditions them to become psychopaths. This would be called secondary psychopathy. Now, on the other hand, many politicians and government workers in the higher levels or upper echelons of power are primary psychopaths, as opposed to the lower level politicians who are mainly secondary psychopaths. Primary psychopathy is all nature - an inherent condition that you are born with, where the psychopathy stems from a genetic defect, whereas secondary psychopathy is all nurture - when you are programmed and conditioned by environmental pressures to become a psychopath.
