No, not most of them. It's just the presence of money always attracts crooks and swindlers.
The U.S. political systems, Republicans and Democrats both, has been subverted by corporate money. The bribes are mainly in the form of campaign contributions. Some politicians, like Bernie Sanders, have refused corporate bribery. The solution is real campaign finance reform. And the Supreme Court overturning the disastrous Citizens United Decision.
