Don't know where you heard or read this, but you'd be in error there.
My better half works for a major North Carolina Hospital Network.
95% or more of the people being hospitalized are unvaccinated.
Nearly 100% of those testing positive that are vaccinated, have symptoms ranging from draining sinuses to a bad cold.
About 99% of those dying from it, are unvaccinated.
Her site tested 243 people yesterday. Out of those, only 35% tested positive for COVID.

@dakotaviper Ok. My post is aimed at taking the piss out of anti-vaxxer arguments. I'm very much not an anti-vaxxer.

@dakotaviper Just to clarify, I'm British and I had an argument about this with certain Canadian SW user (let's call him Bohemian Jim). He said that most people in the UK who have git covid have been vaccinated.

This is (on face-value) actually true. However, we are lucky though to have a highly vaccinated population with the vast majority of adults vaccinated twice or three times. Only about 10% have had no vaccine at all and makeup about 40% of covid patients, which proves his use of statistics ridiculous.

I tried to explain this to him. Did he listen?

Nope.

@dakotaviper While I'm sure that information is true, people I work with, who are vaccinated, have gotten covid. They haven't ended up in the hospital though. I had covid in march. Most co-workers who aren't vaccinated have had covid, didn't end up in hospital, but, they lost their smell and taste.

I didn't end up in hospital. Only reason I'm vaccinated is because of if work does the whole vaccine or weekly test, I can't afford to not make a living because dickhead dictator thinks we need told what to do.

Sorry, but last time I looked, the US was a free country, not a dictatorship.

@twiigss Being vaccinated, does not mean you will not get it. But it does mean that if you get it, your chances of not being hospitalized and dying, increase by 95% or better. Plus, everyone's immune system is different.
