Sure you can sue Ms Romero whether you will get anything is another question. @beckyromero

@jackjjackson

How's Dr. Oz, now that your favorite candidate Sean Parnell dropped out?

@beckyromero The funny part being the dinosaurs are now running the senate and White House,😷
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Pelosi is NOT a dinosaur? @whowasthatmaskedman
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@jackjjackson Of course she is and many like her.. But there are a few congressmen (on either side) who are young enough to be considered as evolving.😷

Obama and Trump destroyed the Old Guard of both parties.

The Dems lost a thousand legislative seats (Congress and state legislatures) during the Obama years. And many of the Republicans elected in 2016, 2018 and 2020 were younger Trumpets. Trump further fueled an exodus of reasonable Republicans.

The country would be FAR BETTER OFF today had McCain been elected in 2008. He had won re-election and the 2016 race would have been between Sen. Hillary Clinton and Vice President Sarah Palin. The winner would have won re-election in 2020 and would be president today.

And Trump? He'd be filing for bankruptcy for a 7th time.
@beckyromero Yep. Obama and the DNC really dropped the ball on that. The Red State Project took advantage of the 2010 census to redistrict in Republicans' favor. The only upside is that there isn't much left to gerrymander after the 2020 census. If the Democrats lose seats this year, it won't be because of gerrymandering. Republicans still control too many state legislatures, however. I don't see that changing until Trump dies and the party descends into chaos as the different factions fight for dominance.

@LeopoldBloom

Gerrymandering will gain the Republicans a couple seats from Texas. They also pushed Debbie Dingle out of her district. There's a few other instances as well.

The Democrats bring knives to gun fights. Blue states are the ones with "citizen" commissions to draw fairer Congressional districts because those states are likely to have voter initiatives. The voters get duped while the Republicans draw lines to their liking in red states where such commissions don't exist.

@beckyromero I wont argue the facts of the case you put. BUT. The "business as usual line that we could assume and Hillary actually spouted would have done nothing to solve the underlying finincial issues internally and externally and while hate may not be fashionable, the upheaval in the parties and the underlying corruption is something Trump has explosed and brought into sharp focus in a way no other would have. It could be the radical surgery that America sorely needs.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman

Trump didn't "expose" corruption. There hasn't been a more financially corrupt occupant of the Oval Office.

And if Hillary was elected in 2016, she wouldn't have called Covid a "hoax." There would still have been much death and much incompetence at the state level. But at the federal level, she would have handled it infinity better than Trump.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@beckyromero Agreed. Or a less successful one at it, because he went about it in such an obvious ham fisted manner. He would actually have been better off not running. Unlike the Bush's, the Clintons or even Obama.😷
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
The fact that the GOP coalesced behind Trump in the first place is a guarantee when Trump bumps off or heads into the sunset. @LeopoldBloom
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Ham fisted is an excellent description. He’s a Teddy Roosevelt type with no sense of when to be silent and even more boorish behavior. @whowasthatmaskedman
@jackjjackson When that orange fuckhead finally croaks, it's going to be a free-for-all to determine who carries his mantle. It won't be his son, I can tell you that. And his death will allow the anti-Trump wing to reassert itself.
