Why is the uprising of 1/6/21 worse than the months of rioting in the Northwest?

The BLM and Antifa rioters destroyed federal buildings during months of rioting. The capital uprising lasted less than a day. Why is it worse?

Because it became real to politicians. Before it never affected them. And it was an opportunity to disparage President Trump and those who supported him again.
