Candidate Biden said, "Trump has no plan on covid, I do!" Now President Biden said,"There is no federal solution".

How do his supporters spin that one???

It really is not a case of Biden changing his mind. It would really help to present this in the right context, but that's not something rebels without a clue are interested in doing.

When he made that statement in 2020, the Federal government, under the Orange Benito, was busy trying to convince people that there is no virus, and was not interested in helping the States. When Mike Pence came to WA State at the outset of the pandemic, Trump told him "not to be nice to Governor Inslee", because he does not like Trump.

The President's statement today, needs to be presented in full, and in full context.

He pledged to support governors struggling with the omicron variant of Covid-19, but acknowledged the states will need to take the lead in controlling the pandemic.

Speaking just before his meeting with some of the governors, he said: "There is no federal solution. This gets solved at a state level." For the clueless, this means "we have a Constitution, and I've been doing everything I possibly can, to educate the States on how important it is to turn this around. Have you seen how many cartoons the right wing media has of Biden knocking on doors, asking people to get vaccinated?"

The president is concerned that federal initiatives to contain the virus can’t be effective without states’ help. The comments are also designed to put added pressure on governors to take a greater role in trying to control the disease. We are a federation, not a dictatorship.

@Northwest Wow! You really know how to twist things to fit your agenda! How many times did you have to repeat that to yourself before you believed it? I think you are going to be very disappointed in the mid-term elections this coming fall, and again in 2024!

It's called looking at the full picture, and not just the single sound bite that fits your agenda. You should try it sometime. And speaking of twisting things to fit an agenda, take a long look in the mirror.

And this response has absolutely NOTHING to do with the thread you started, but I guess when you have no point, the only thing to do is acknowledge it, but you change topic.
