Good for her. I am the same way. Well that and the fact that I know should I get the shot it may well be my dead body.
@hippyjoe1955 How do you know you actually had Covid and not just a cold?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues Have you ever heard of testing?
JohnOinger · 41-45, M
@hippyjoe1955 I don't think that was Covid you had then lol
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@JohnOinger So you don't believe in testing then. Kind of proves my point about your lack of intellect doesn't it.
@hippyjoe1955
Have you ever heard of testing?
I've heard you tell me Covid testing is flooded with false positives!
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues And?????? You are a medical doctor capable of reading the results over the internet?
@hippyjoe1955
LOL!!! HJ, you're trapped in your lies. Again, ROTFL!!!

Either Covid testing is trustworthy enough that you believe it even though your symptoms were as mild as a cold, or, you're lying about your symptoms, or you're lying about ever having been tested! Perhaps you're lying about ever having had Covid?? You lie so much, who knows; who cares???
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues So you don't know a thing about how the tests were done. Too funny. You do need a good education. Sadly it would be lost on you.
@hippyjoe1955 My testing knowledge is somewhat limited. I know how testing works in a Cobas 4800 PCR machine and similar modern lab devices, but who knows what they have in your benighted climes. Perhaps you were tested with a Ouija board?

The key thing I know is you've spent considerable verbiage claiming Covid testing can't be trusted, and now you're trapped in that lie, BWA-HA-HA-HA-HAAAA
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues So you have no idea how testing is done. And you want to laugh at me? Ever heard of cycles?
@hippyjoe1955 I understand temperature cycles are how strands of DNA are multiplied in the eponymous "chain reaction." And it's one of the parameters defined by the CDC.

How many cycles did your test have?? You don't know, do you? You were bluffing, and now you're caught in yet another lie, LOL!!!
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@hippyjoe1955 Then your report should also say what PCR machine conducted the test. Tell us. And how do you know 22 cycles never produces a false positive??

BTW, PCR machines multiply DNA, yet Covid only carries RNA. How can PCR multiply Covid??
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues So you don't know a thing about PCR testing. BTW my diagnosis was also done by a doctor who examined me while I was symptomatic.
@hippyjoe1955 So are you ready to withdraw all your claims about false positives in Covid tests, given that you trust them so much you are refusing the vaccine on the basis of that test??

And did you really go to a doctor with symptoms of a mild cold? Or were you lying about the symptoms too, and you had neurological symptoms such as loss of taste and smell?
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues NO! Many of the PCR tests here are at the 38 cycle range which is pretty much useless. Many of them are not done by doctors. You go to a drive in testing site and get swabbed then go home and wait.
@hippyjoe1955 Actually, samples are measured after EVERY cycle - it's a simple matter of shining light on them between cycles. I guess you didn't know as much as you thought about testing. But I'm glad to educate you, LOL!!!
@hippyjoe1955 Wow, HJ, it seems you've been badly misled about how PCR testing works! What's worse, you've been spreading your misunderstandings for the last 18 months! You've been busily spreading lies - aren't you ashamed of yourself?

You apparently got fooled into believing that a rack of samples would go thru 38 cycles before being tested. Nothing could be further from the truth! Every sample is tested for fluorescence after EVERY cycle. In the sample you described, there was a significant fluorescence after 22 cycles, but the next sample might not have lit up until cycle 24!

I don't know the details, but the CDC has guidelines about how to interpret all this. And your doctor, in whom you place so much trust - s/he was simply following the CDC interpretive guidelines, LOL!!!

Meanwhile, that rack of samples probably went on for many more cycles. Again, I don't know that much about it, but 38 cycles might be appropriate for PCR tests of sewage samples. That's a big thing colleges and cities do, and those sorts of samples need much more amplification.

And all this time, you misunderstood PCR, misunderstood cycles, and spread falsehoods about it based on your ignorant misunderstanding! You really ought to be ashamed of yourself!!!
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@ElwoodBlues Do you live here? Do you have a friend that works in the PCR lab? I do. You don't. Run along son your ignorance is showing again.
@hippyjoe1955 Nice bluff!
It's 100% obvious that I've corrected a MAJOR misunderstanding you had about PCR testing! BTW, you still haven't told us what lab machine did your test. Is that PCR friend as imaginary as your "most published doctor" friend??
