@graphite I really believe his age, mental status contributes to not so much intentional lies as to what he thinks and believes he did or was involved in.

@ShaneMckay but now he occupies the Oval Office. That said, he’s kept on a tight leash. But at times goes off and he very likely does not even realize what he is saying. That’s a fear he strikes in his handlers.
What is scary is he says things that have potential consequences, like him saying we are committed to defending Taiwan. If we still had diplomatic relations that would be somewhat different, but we’ve been gone for the most part militarily) since ‘79.
I’m a vet-served there, but he has said something that comes down to: you talk the talk, can you walk the walk?
And God help us if China goes for the island.

@ShaneMckay As I said, he’s old not mentally capable, and if it looks like there might be a potential confrontation nuclear or non nuclear, he’ll very likely be removed to avert it.
I’d not want to see Taiwan attacked, but he has put this country in china’s cross hairs if they attack because he’ll have committed us to a war in as he said, defense of Taiwan.
