@boudinMan my point is that people say they want to make America great again but can't seem to give one example of when it was previously great. You're right, most if not all countries have a checkered past, but they're not claiming they were great while being pure evil

@boudinMan that's very black and white. No one is saying the US is pure evil, but it's not perfect, it's not the greatest in everything.

There might have been a "great" time in the US for wealthy white people, but it sure as hell wasn't the case for black people for most of US history.

@basilfawlty89 Even for the middle & lower classes though, wage growth has stagnated while healthcare & housing costs have skyrocketed over the past 50 years or so. The civil rights advances we've seen have been incredible, but in some economic terms, life has gotten shittier for everyone who's not filthy rich.

are you aware that japan attacked the u.s. first? how do you know some of the japanese living here weren't spies? it's called survival. it goes back centuries, before there were even countries.
