I don't really follow American politics anymore because its toxic af.

Saying that it is probably a really bad idea to run up on someone carrying an AR15 or whatever its was.

Additionally, I don't know how anyone could kill people and not be even slightly remorseful for it. Slightly sociopathic if you ask me.

If you run up on someone carrying an AR openly they are most likely free to do so , have knowledge of their weapon and gun safety and the law , and pose no threat to you unless you are a threat to them . Relax
@TexChik I implied that. I find the lack of any type of remorse disturbing. Dehumanising people is easy.

@Ozymandiaz if someone tried to kill you , causing you injury and forcing you to take their life to defend your own … you would feel remorse ? Yes tge situation is sad because some animal wanted to hurt you, but would you rather be dead?
@TexChik Two different arguments there. I would defend myself. I would feel remorse because I am a decent human being.

@Ozymandiaz there comes a point, after having to fight for your life or that of your family, where outrage and anger take over and the demise of your attacker is of little consequence in the moment . Remorse is a luxury saved for those who never have faced that moment.
@TexChik I grew up in a UN designated warzone. You want to tell me about fighting for your life?

@Ozymandiaz I was tortured and raped as a child , and as an adult was attacked in my own home … and you want to talk me about remorse?
@TexChik I am sorry that happened to you. You were the victim and not the perpetrator so you having nothing to feel remorseful for.

I have seen you around here long enough to suspect you may have remorse for deliberately hurting someone.

@Ozymandiaz if they were trying to kill me … or my kids ? Not a chance . Buy by accident? Absolutely!!
@TexChik I dont know. You could still feel remorseful for something that needed doing. I think Empathy and morality follow the same path.

@Ozymandiaz yes if I took a life I am sure my ptsd would kick in big time . I wouldn’t like it, I wouldn’t. Wanted to do it , but if forced I would do it with a vengeance .
@TexChik I dont think we share a lot of the same political perspectives on stuff but I do respect you because I believe you are a decent human being
