I don't see that at all.

I think the phrase "new world order" originated as a metaphor once used in a speech by an American president, and Klaus Schwab is entitled to imagine "great resets" whatever they are. The simple problem is that what you allege implies all of the more powerful governments around the world colluding and co-operating at a very high level.

As recent events, including the increasing fragility of the EU, and just-ended COP summit in Glasgow, have shown, that would make cat-herding or mist-weaving pale by comparison.

If anything they are becoming less co-operative in too many fields, not more!

###

(This shows the problems of such world-wide co-operation:

COP Glasgow proposed an international fund to help the developing nations that are most seriously affected by climate-change.

About 138 nations said 'Yes'.

Then it failed because the conference did not stand up even at 138 to 1, against one rich country that said 'No'.

So trying to make supposed "world orders" and "re-sets" is about as likely as weaving cats or herding mist.)

@ArishMell There appears to be almost universal agreement in the firm application of catastrophic anti-covid measures - lockdown after lockdown, which have generated disasters for the ordinary person and for the economy. Here, many nations are marching together. They are taking more and more control of people, under the slogan of "keeping them safe" - telling them what they can and can't do in their everyday lives. (We have never had anything like this before in the English-speaking world!)

As for Klaus Schwab: this is not just some smart alec writing a random book of ideas. As head of the World Economic Fund, he has the unlimited authority, wealth, contacts and influence necessary (greater than and far above all governments) to jointly engineer what he calls the Great Reset, to be completed by 2030, after which, as he proudly informs us "You will own nothing, and you will be happy."

@WalterF I see. Thank you for explaining who he is.

He might want that but in a world increasingly divided and fractious it's hard to see how even the WEF might manage to bring it about.
WalterF · 70-79, M
@ArishMell Indeed we will see. I'm keeping my eye on a couple of factors: a tightening of governmental control on citizens' rights (no jab, no job, etc.); and the "vaccine passport", which once implemented can easily be adapted to cover all manner of facts about an individual - not necessarily to his advantage. And watch out also for the gradual phasing out of ordinary currency (cash being the first victim) and the "digitising" of money. Because once that's in place, an individual's money and possessions can be linked to his vaccine passport... and hey presto, we move into the zone of total control of each person. Just like they have in China.

According to those who have studied it, this appears to be the Reset programme, to be realised in the coming few years.

If this is wrong, then none of the above things will come about. Let's hope it's wrong! for the sake of all of us, who just want to lead ordinary decent lives
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@WalterF Well, I hope it's wrong too for the same reasons; but there are times I wonder if we aren't all going to hell in a handcart, whether in some of "order", re-set, whatever else or none.
WalterF · 70-79, M
@ArishMell Agreed. Difficult times. Especially if the globalist-minded all-powerful influencers have taken the decision to take all of humanity down the path of their choosing.

I for one will not comply.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
@WalterF I hope none of us need to comply; but I still do not see the existence of any supposed "globalist" elite.

To be honest I am not sure what "globalist" really means, or even if there really are such beings, but international co-operation is hard enough to achieve even at lower levels, and likely only to become ever harder.
