@DeluxedEdition How is believing a woman should not have her life and body dictated by others not a moral value? How is believing that refusing to take action to protect the health of others around you -- getting vaccinated -- NOT a selfish act? Where is the moral value in refusing to help protect your health and the health of others around you? How are these in conflict?

@dancingtongue Daughter got her first jab yesterday. She wants to finish her schooling but must be vaxed to attend. She did not want the vax. She feels like she was raped.

@DeluxedEdition Individuals are left with the choice in both examples. The individual who refuses to be vaccinated will find themselves isolated and having to be tested, but they aren't forced to take it. Ban abortion, the woman has no choice even though not having it may affect her health and certainly will impact her life.

@hippyjoe1955 There are other educational avenues open to her. Why should she have the right to increase the risk of infection for her classmates and teachers? OTOH, some women may have no other options to abortion. Why should the rest of us ban her option to make a choice that doesn't put us at risk or affect us?

@wildbill83 And declared it is harmful and nothing is know about its long term effects despite Phase III clinical trials. Of course, I guess we could wait another 50 years to see if there are more longterm effects we haven't run up against yet. How many will die in those 50 years?

@DeluxedEdition I thought the goal was to limit the spread of the disease, not each for himself. If you aren't making any effort to minimize being a carrier, who is being selfish? And will you guarantee that we don't have to pay your hospital bills when you wind up crowding the ICUs for the rest of us, or are you going to use the public hospital so others can pay for you?
