It confuses me that people associate all leftism with socialism.
They have not the least idea what 'socialism' means. Or that 9 of the top 10 countries on the human development index (ie, best standard of life) are social democracies which are NOT socialism.

@JimBeam Oh, I have explained whenever I am in an intelligible discussion with a person. A lot of the time here the people I've encountered don't want to know. They just want to use the tag to confirm their views. And it's not entirely their fault - the term 'socialism' in the US has been incorrectly used to manipulate for decades - and increasingly in my country also.

Oh, I have explained whenever I am in an intelligible discussion with a person. A lot of the time here the people I've encountered don't want to know. They just want to use the tag to confirm their views. And it's not entirely their fault - the term 'socialism' in the US has been incorrectly used to manipulate for decades - and increasingly in my country also.
