This is good for Germany. People are not dependent on the capital. I wish we could have that in the USA.

@JoeyFoxx Lots of telecom and military contractors headquarters' are in the suburbs (Virginia).

@Northwest with MD, VA and DC combined, it’s about 5%, which is less than 4 other states.

From my perspective, we don’t have an unbalanced dependency on the capital, at least not by geography

@Northwest @JoeyFoxx There are probably more fake contracting companies here in the DMV than real companies.

There are tech/industry centers all over the United States... saying the DC area is a boon is a stretch.

@SW-User I am not say it's a tech Meccsa. I'm saying that's where companies that rely on government regulations like to headquarter their business. Telcos had more lawyers than software developers.

@Northwest I'd say that has more to do with our campaign finance issues than anything else. Kill Citizens United, PACs and other lobbyists.
