Government inaction on guns is a sign of national weakness and degeneracy

The failure to protect the innocent is part of being lawless.

Yeah! Just ask Australia!
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@Oberon1 Ask Australia what?
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@StevetheSleeve What happens when the state has absolutely no fear of the population.
StevetheSleeve · 31-35, M
@Oberon1 Peaceful existence? I’m still not following.
walabby · 61-69, M
@Oberon1 Why should the Australian State bother to fear the population. We vote the State in and we vote them out. We do it often. It's called Democracy...
We also don't get bent out of shape when our favorite team doesn't win. We just wait for the next election.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@walabby Australians were treated horrible by the state. Nazi like behavior by those in charge. Unless it was all a big sensationalist show for the fake press.
walabby · 61-69, M
@Oberon1 All those in charge that have been elected recently have increased their vote margin. The MAJORITY of the populace are happy with the way that they are treated. A minority did protest about the Covid lockdown. Some of those became violent. Police arrested a few. No cars were overturned and burnt. No one was shot. Australia has had 56 Covid deaths/million. The USA has had 2,203.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@walabby Okay, all those people who simply went outside their houses and the little old women who were brutalized by the cops were just faked by the media to get ratings. I should have known. No. Seriously. The lying bastards made it look like Australia had descended into a draconian totalitarianism and brutality and Australian people were upset about it.
Then again, you might be one of those people who supports a state run totalitarian system. You can never be sure about these things. We have plenty of them up here, I imagine they're down there too.
walabby · 61-69, M
@Oberon1 No, I don't support state run totalitarianism. I also don't support people that deliberately try to infect the community with nasty diseases. I don't support cops that are too heavy handed but recognize that sometimes they have to get tough.
I suspect that some media may well have sensationalized news footage for the greatest dramatic effect...
@Oberon1 Turn off Sky News. They are basically the Aussie version of InfoWars.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Wow! They sure did a convincing job on those videos! That must have cost millions of Australian pesos! 😁
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@walabby It's the same dynamic as here in the states. It's just a little easier for the totalitarians because its safer to beat people up where there is no 2nd amendment.
@Oberon1 The NRA has you good and brainwashed too.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow The 2nd amendment predated the NRA. Haven't heard much from them recently.........
@Oberon1 And I am willing to bet you know knowing about it beyond NRA talking points. Most Americans who screech about the 2nd Amendment have no clue why it exists, the history of it, or even what it says apparently and that includes the SCOTUS. Nearly all of them are operating from NRA talking points pretty much invented in the 70s.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Info wars likes to pick fights. Fox is truthful but too centered on entertainment. Unless I just want entertainment. I do enjoy the commentators though. Tucker is among my three favorites. Hannity is annoying and Greg is predictable. Newsmax is too something or other. OAN is the most reliable biased news out there!
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I like Jeffersons talking points.
What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure.
@Oberon1 Again, all you know is talking points and slogans and no history, context, or law.

Fox is right wing propaganda and outright fiction. They literally went to court to protect their "right" to lie to the public. And anyone who thinks OAN is anything but a dumpster fire is too far gone.
Oberon1 · 61-69, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow At least they haven't slandered any kids lately! CNN and MSNBC are behind Nickelodeon because they've taken propaganda to ridiculous levels and they are embarrassingly dishonest.
@Oberon1 That is some next level tinfoil. You are seriously claim Nickelodeon is what? Liberal propaganda now? 😂

I think your tinfoil hat is a bit too tight.
