Why do people keep claiming the Moderna & Pfizer vaccine have killed more people than Covid-19?

Besides rumors, do they have any solid evidence?

from NIH..

"Reports of death after COVID-19 vaccination are rare. More than 390 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through September 27, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 8,164 reports of death (0.0021%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine. "

These are ASSOCIATIVE and not necessarily causative. I cant find it now, but a article I read weeks ago narrowed the numbers down with likely other causes for all but about 2,000 as I recall. Most vaccines have similar reactions or interactions with comorbidities, etc .

These are low numbers with 390,000,000 as the divisor.
@Neoerectus Yep,VAERS collects all vaccine "events." So all deaths a short time after vaccine are reported to VAERS, regardless of whether they're caused by vaccine. Thus it's a strong upper bound (worst case estimate) on vaccine deaths.

And when you do the math, the worst case estimage works out to 21 deaths per million. The 1% death rate of Covid is 10,000 deaths per million. So in the worst case, the vaccine is still 500X safer than the vaccine.
