The idea, that they can say, "It's not going to cost anything." is just flabbergasting to me! I really believe the coprophagics think the American people are that stupid. All their 'new left' constituents are pretty outspoken about how stupid they think Americans are. It's part of their snobbery and pseudo intellectual arrogance. Just listen to them sometime, and if you are a pseudo liberal, listen to yourself sometime when you are talking about the salt of the earth Americans who grow, build, transport, or manufacture all your needs, that you are so sickeningly ungrateful for. Worse yet is your disregard for those who protect you, and this nation that is the womb of your safety and security that you hate and despise so much.

I don’t know about you but I work for money, not gratitude - work I do happens to save lives, but I don’t care how anyone feels about it - I’m well compensated with money. Same with our truckers, etc - they’re paid for their work, according to market rates. It’s not charity and they aren’t saints. Gratitude is unnecessary. I pay those people.

This is why almost nothing happened when trump lowered corporate taxes - it neither spurred hiring, nor lowered prices for consumers.

@Oberon1 I got a whopper of a raise this year, and can work anywhere in the world, I’m not even remotely worried. The country is fine, same old shit - the entire world is being hit with supply chain issues in the wake of the pandemic, but this will stabilize.

I still talk to my quant friends - none of them are all that worried.

@Oberon1 Once you climb out of the entry level gigs it’s considered rude to “supervise” - and like most specialists of my type I’m not really paid for how I go about my day - but how much gets done.

SW is like a blow off valve for boredom - it lets me concentrate better, as perverse as that sounds.
